Resolving actions

  1. Roll 1d20 and add the attribute modifier: 10 or more succeeds at a simple action, 13 at a risky action, 16 at a heroic action.
  2. A natural 20 will end up engraved on the Guild’s plaque of honour; a natural 1 will end up in its accident register.

Initiative : 1d20 + Knack modifier

Attributes

Brawn BRA
Hitting, shoving, carrying, holding a door shut against a troll with a union card.
Knack KNA
Picking locks, dodging, tinkering, finding the emergency exit.
Grimoire GRI
Spells, formulas, Guild regulations and trap instruction leaflets.
Gab GAB
Haggling at a toll, calming a monster, disputing a bill.

Special rules

The feast
Once per session, the team stops to eat together, for real: everyone describes what they pull out of their bag. Everybody gets back 1d6 HP and each member’s next roll gains +2. The more unlikely the menu, the better it works.
Form 12-B
The Guild has a rule for everything. Once per session, a player can invoke an article of the regulations (which they make up on the spot, out loud) to reroll a die; the Storyteller writes it into the Glandebourg regulations, and it becomes law for the whole campaign.
The loot sheet
Every item found is written on the loot sheet, and the Guild takes ten percent at the end of each session. The rest is shared out in play: a disputed item goes to whoever best explains why they deserve it.
